Flowers, flowers everywhere, but don't forget the vases! Wedding planning is full of the tiniest details, but it truly is the tiny details that make your event unforgettable. Deciding to rent the vases for your wedding may save you a considerable amount of money on your florist bill, while still keeping your flowers hydrated and your tablescapes clean.

1. Ask your florist if he has a vase rental program. Since a fair portion of the price in a floral purchase comes from the glassware, florists will often offer significant discounts to customers who plan on returning the vases.
2. Determine how many vases you will need. If you're renting from a smaller rental company or a small florist, you'll want to make sure that they have all the vases you need available. Though you can always mix and match for a fun eclectic look, double check to see if they have enough matching vases if you would prefer a consistent look.
3. Specify if you would like colored or clear glass. Keep in mind that you will not want to have a colored glass vase that clashes or detracts from your primary color scheme or from the flowers themselves. However, if you can find vases that actually match your colors, then by all means order those since it will only enhance the look of your ceremony or reception.
4. Check your order before signing for it. Most rental places charge for any damage to their stock, so you should always make sure that any damage you pay for was actually done by you or your guests. If you find any vases that are already damaged you should receive a discount on your final order price.
5. Rent your vases from the same rental company you rented all your other items. This will help keep your delivery fees as low as possible. Arrange to have them delivered with the caterer or florist order if possible.
