Girlie Games For Children

Let the girls do hair and makeup makeovers.

Many girls love playing girlie games that consist of doing hair, makeup and dressing up. When planning a party or social gather for a group of girls, create a few games that are sure to be a big hit. With a few girlie supplies, your creative imagination and some game ideas, you have all you need to get the party started. Encourage the girls to participant in the girlie games by awarding prizes to the game winners.

Beauty Bingo

Print bingo cards with pictures of girlie items in the bingo squares, such as hair accessories, hair bows, makeup compacts, high heels and dresses. Print the same pictures on small slips of paper and place them in a bowl. Give the girls pink and purple pompoms to use as bingo markers. Call out the bingo pictures and the first girl to get a bingo vertically, horizontally or diagonally wins the game.

Nail Polish Color Game

Divide the girls into even teams and give each team a bottle of nail polish. Give the teams a sheet of paper and a pencil. When you say, "Go," the girls must write down as many items as they can think of that are the same color as the bottle of nail polish. The team who writes down the most correct items in two minutes wins the game and a prize. For another nail polish game, hide several bottles of nail polish around the play area. Have the girls hunt for the bottles of nail polish. The girl who finds the most bottles of nail polish wins the game.

Dress-Up Relay Race

Mark a starting line and a run-to line 20 feet apart. At the run-to line, place two complete dress-up outfits including a dress, high heels, a wig, a fancy hat and a feather boa. Divide the girls into two teams and have them line up at the starting line. When you say, "Race," the first player in each team line must race to the run-to line and put on the entire dress-up outfit. She will race back to her team and give the outfit to the next teammate in each line. That player must put on the outfit and run to the run-to line and back. Each player must do the same thing. The first team to finish the relay race wins the game.

Makeovers

Host a makeup and hair makeover contest for the girls. Have the girls select a partner. Give the girls hair accessories, makeup, spray hair color, wigs, colored extensions and hairbrushes. Tell the girls the categories are best hair, best makeup, craziest hair, scariest hair, scariest makeup, funniest makeup and funniest hair. Award a prize to the winner of each category.
