How You Can Decorate A Table In Camouflage

Camouflage fabrics are available in many types of patterns.

Decorating a table with camouflage is an interesting way to prepare for a party with a hunting or military theme. Choosing the right colors and decor that emphasize an outdoorsy ambiance adds to the theme of the dinner or party you are hosting. This type of theme could be appropriate for all ages.

Instructions

1. Spread a tan, sage green, charcoal gray or brown tablecloth on the table. This provides an effective backdrop for the dinnerware and other table decor. Or use a camouflage print tablecloth.

2. Set paper plates or earth-toned dinnerware on the table. Beige, brown or army green are excellent choices that complement the table covering. Paper plates are available in every color, including camouflage prints, and are relatively inexpensive if you don't own dinnerware in earth-tone colors.

3. Set clean jelly or other types of glass jars on the table to use as beverage glasses. This works well with a camouflage theme that pertains to hunting.

4. Use silverware with wood or faux wood handles if you have them. Another option is silverware with colored plastic handles in a neutral shade.

5. Create a centerpiece for the camouflage table by standing a sheaf of wheat straw in the center. Gather the straw together with a large rubber band around the middle. Cut a 12-inch-length of wide, coordinating ribbon with scissors to hide the rubber band.Tie the ribbon in a knot around the straw, allow the ribbon to hang down or tie it into a decorative bow.

6. Roll up a cloth napkin and tie a piece of raffia around it to use as a napkin ring. Select a bright orange or an earth-toned napkin color. Another idea is to simply fold the napkin and lay a pheasant feather or a pinecone on top of it, depending on the purpose of the party.
