Gifts & Etiquette For Bachelorette Parties

Bachelorette parties are a nice break from wedding planning.

Men used to be the only ones who had bachelor parties, but not anymore. The ladies are living it up too. Bachelorette parties are festive opportunities to take a bride-to-be out on the town and show her a good time before the big day. Bachelorette parties often give the bride-to-be a much-needed stress release from all the wedding planning. When it comes to etiquette and gifts, knowing your friend's taste is the best place to start.

Etiquette

Bachelorette parties are a good chance for everyone to cut loose and have a good time. Knowing your friend's personality is the best way to gauge your behavior. First and foremost, you should always look out for your friend to make sure she's safe and having fun. If she's reserved, you don't want to embarrass her with wild behavior. If everyone is enjoying cocktails, good etiquette is knowing your limit and not getting too drunk. Other than that, the general etiquette at a bachelorette party is to have fun.

Gag Gifts

When it comes to gifts for a bachelorette party, a lot of partygoers give gag gifts, fun and silly items that add to the party. Some ideas for gag gifts are a bride instruction manual, tiara and feather boa, candy bra or a T-shirt with "Bachelorette" printed on it. There is also a wide variety of gag gifts that are common at bachelorette parties that come in the shape of a particular part of the male anatomy.

Romantic Gifts

Romantic gifts are also a good choice for bachelorette parties because you can get the bride-to-be something that she and her husband can use to enhance their intimate relationship. These types of gifts would include sexy lingerie, massage oils and lotions, scented candles, edible romance products such as body paint or flavored lubricant or a feather streamer. Anything that will enhance the romance is a good gift for a bachelorette party.

Other Gifts

Other gifts that would be appropriate for a bachelorette party would be anything that has to do with cocktails. Consider a pink flask for the bride-to-be or a fancy set of martini glasses. If she's a wine drinker, stemless wine glasses are an option. A cute set of shot glasses are one idea that could be given with a bottle of her favorite liquor. Parties and drinking accessories go hand in hand.
