Stamina Lure Components

Stamina distributes lure components so you can make your own.

Many fishermen have developed techniques for sure-fire, catch-the-big-one fishing. This includes making lures, since off-the-shelf lures do not satisfy their needs. Many angers, who believe different fish require different lures, make specialized lures for every species. Parts for lures may be difficult to find, but the Stamina Tackle Company stocks a complete inventory of parts. With Stamina's inventory base, a fisherman can make just about any kind of lure he wants.

Hooks

Hooks are the heart of the lure, and Stamina stocks varieties from several manufacturers. Some of these include Eagle Claw, VMC and Mustad. They also stock Falcon Lures weighed hooks in a variety of sizes. These hooks have an integral weight near the eyelet.

Metal Bodies

Stamina stocks metal bodies for lures, including brass torpedoes, lead torpedoes and brass hourglass-shaped eyelets. Barbell-shaped metal bodies with conical ends are also available for fly-fishing applications.

Minnow Bodies

An assortment of minnow bodies is available including painted bodies in various colors and unpainted models. Stamina, which offers lure bodies resembling shad as well as minnows, also stocks bodies that sink and those that float.

Ancillary Components

With an extensive inventory of ancillary components, Stamina sells wooden forms, so you can make your own lures. Other items include panfish jig-making components, waterproof paints and books on lure making, as well as beads -- both metal and plastic -- and lure-building kits. The kits have an assortment of parts and tools.
