Crimson Table Ideas

Find purple table ideas to create a beautiful, stylish reception look.

Purple weddings may be soft and elegant in shades of lavender, or bold and vibrant in hues of grape. No matter the shade, the wedding colors are an important part of all ceremony and reception decor. Use different purple table ideas to create a unique, memorable wedding reception look that accurately reflects the style of your wedding.

Flowers

Flowers are often a big part of any wedding, and they can be used on purple reception tables, too. Purple flowers are not hard to find, and they are available in a wide array of shades. Lisianthus have bell-shaped blossoms and spiral-shaped buds. Vanda orchids grow in variegated shades of white and purple that give the blossoms a unique look. Tulips and freesias grow in a variety of purple shades, from deep pink to bluish violet. Purple flora gladiolus flowers may be used for their rich purple color on reception table decor.

Centerpieces

Flowers are commonly used as reception table centerpieces, but there are many other options for purple table centerpieces that are non-floral. Use glass containers and water to create stunning floating candle arrangements. Add purple rocks, shells and other elements to include more touches of color. Use seasonable items to create a natural, non-floral centerpiece. Purplish leaves, berries and feathers may be arranged to provide a natural display. Purple fruits may also make very pretty centerpieces when placed in glass containers. Grapes and plums are attractive and edible table centerpiece ideas. Place a small, purple wedding cake at the center of each table to celebrate the theme of the day.

Decorations

Add decorations to reception tables to incorporate even more purple elements into the overall look and design. Purple flower petals and candies are inexpensive and very easy to obtain. Simply scatter them around the table to create pretty decor. Place purple paper fans on tables at outdoor receptions. Purple table numbers, neatly printed, may also be used to add more of the right color.

Linens

Linens are often used to cover reception tables, and there's no reason why they can't be rented in shades of purple to match the wedding colors. Whether using one-layer or two-layer linen designs, tablecloths are a great way to put wedding colors on display. Event rental companies commonly make linens available for wedding receptions and other events in a wide variety of colors.
