Decorate a Rachel Berry-inspired room with musical instruments.
If your child is a fan of Rachel Berry, the fictional character on the television show "Glee," you can decorate her bedroom using musical elements fit for a star. Lighting and music are important elements in pulling off this bedroom design, as are theatrical accessories such as feather boas, sunglasses and kimonos. Think "glam" when you are selecting items to decorate and accessorize your child's bedroom. This can make a fun project for Mom (or Dad) and daughter.
Instructions
1. Hang musical instruments on the wall. If you do not have access to musical instruments, frame artists' renderings of different instruments or old Playbill programs. Music is a key part of "Glee," so music must be reflected in the room.
2. Place a metal coat rack near the bed or door. Drape feather boas and silk kimonos -- a star's wardrobe before she hits the stage -- on the coat rack.
3. Purchase a vanity with bright, circular bulbs lining the mirror. This is a typical element for a bathroom. However, you can bring star power to the bedroom by using this type of mirror in the bedroom.
4. Cover the bed with metallic coverlets and white pillows. Mix and match cotton and satin for a luxurious, celebrity feel to the room.
5. Place a crystal chandelier lamp on a mirrored bedside table beside the bed for that final glam touch.
