Suggestions For A Gold Wedding Focal point

Although pasta is golden, a more formal display works better for a wedding.

When making a gold wedding centerpiece, choose a style that fits the personality of the couple and blend their tastes to your selection of a vase and flowers. You can use the gold color to make a solid gold arrangement, or mix it with other colors for an interesting design. Vary the containers for your gold centerpiece and consider the addition of other items surrounding it to make more impact.

Dramatic

Create a dramatic gold centerpiece for your table as you fill a large cylinder vase with gold Christmas balls and place one red taper candle inside. Surround the vase with several smaller round vases spray painted gold. Add vivid red flowers to the smaller vases, such as red roses, heliconia, lily or protea. Place all the vases on a gold-flecked mirror square with cut glass beads of gold and red sprinkled around it.

Country Chic

Mix country with chic in this centerpiece display as you spray paint a wicker basket gold and add a cut-to-size soaked plant form inside. Create an arrangement of creamy white anthurium with gladiolus inside the basket as you place the gladiolus along the handles and fill in with the anthurium and eucalyptus leaves. Tie a large gold bow on one side of the handle and sprinkle white and gold confetti around the basket.

Formal

Make a formal centerpiece of black and gold on the wedding table as you paint small square boxes gold and stack them in decreasing sizes in the center of the table. Along the empty sides of the boxes, where steps are formed, place several photographs of the couple in gold frames and black open mesh containers. Inflate gold and black balloons and attach to the containers with alternating colored ribbons of black and gold.

Monochromatic

Go gold on gold and concentrate on the textures in this centerpiece display. Paint a rectangular flower planter gold and place it in the center of your table. Fill a gold tulip-style vase with cut gold glass beads to be used as a base. Stick several gold peacock feathers inside and arrange them to resemble a fan as you vary the heights of the feathers. Place the vase in the center of the planter box and add tall gold taper candles in decreasing sizes forming a straight line inside the rectangular box.
