Crafts To Create From "Twilight"

Stephenie Meyer is the author of the "Twilight" book series that has become a worldwide phenomenon.

Since its release in 2005, "Twilight", the first in a series called "The Twilight Saga," by Stephenie Meyer, has become a worldwide phenomenon. The books spawned movies, t-shirts and souvenirs. A combination of fantasy and real life, "Twilight" has become escapism from our otherwise ordinary lives into the world of vampires and werewolves. Show how much of a Twilight fan you are with these craft ideas.

Bookmarks

A blank bookmark is a canvas for any Twilight theme.

For those who read books, a Twilight-inspired bookmark is a craft idea that anyone can do. Buy blank bookmarks and charms from the craft store and decorate. It can be themed to show your allegiance to Bella, Edward or Jacob. Use a bookmark with a black, red and white tassel, the color scheme of the books, and add an apple charm, representing the forbidden fruit that is Bella's relationship with Edward, like on the Twilight cover. Or try something from the other covers - a moon for "New Moon" and "Eclipse" or a queen chess piece, representing Bella's rise from pawn to queen, for "Breaking Dawn." The bookmark will be something that you carry with books wherever you go.

Charm Bracelets

Finding the right charms will show everyone that you are a "Twilight" fan.

Adding to a charm bracelet kit is a craft idea that can pay tribute to one or all of the "Twilight" books. It may take a little looking around for relevant charms to add to the basic materials - kits generally include items like beads, crystals, and ribbon - but everyone will know when they see it that you are a "Twilight" fan. Some charm suggestions include a wolf for Jacob's Quileute tribe, or as with the bookmark charm idea, an apple, moon, or queen chess piece.

Dream Catchers

Jacob gives Bella a dream catcher for her birthday in "New Moon."

Jacob gives Bella a dream catcher for her birthday in "New Moon". Bella kept it in her bedroom hoping it would catch bad dreams. A dream catcher is a craft idea that, with a few supplies, you can make for your bedroom. All you need is a grapevine wreath, four yards of hemp, twelve inches of suede cord, glass beads, feathers, mono-filament and scissors to show your allegiance to Jacob. To assemble tie a piece of the hemp to the wreath and proceed to tie half hitches all around. Add large glass beads to the middle and to five pieces of mono-filament that will dangle from the bottom of the wreath. Add feathers to the danglers. Cut a piece of suede cord to make a loop on the top for hanging.

The Lion Fell in Love with the Lamb Scrapbook

Photos of the "Twilight" cast help complete your scrapbook.

The focus of the "Twilight" series is on the love story of Edward and Bella. It is written in the story that Edward falling in love with Bella was the lion falling in love with the lamb. As a tribute to this love story, create a scrapbook with a lion and lamb cover. Combine quotes from the books and pictures from the movies and Forks, Washington, the central location.
