A paddle-shaped fan keeps you cool in hot weather.
A fan helps keep you cool on warm days and a fan that is mounted on a stick allows you to hold the fan without bending your hand uncomfortably. A homemade fan is a quick and simple craft you can leave plain or decorate as intricately as you like. Teach children to make a fan on a stick for a summer art project or make more elaborate fans for a celebration or party.
Instructions
1. Cut two rectangles 4 inches wide and 3 inches long out of thick cardstock.
2. Round off the corners of the cardstock pieces using the scissors.
3. Glue a craft stick to one of the rectangles, positioning the craft stick and the rectangle so it looks like a lollipop. The craft stick protrudes from the center of the one of the short edges of the rectangle.
4. Brush glue smoothly over the side of the rectangle that has the craft stick glued to it.
5. Lay the other rectangle on top of the first rectangle, matching up the sides.
6. Allow the glue to dry thoroughly. Decorate the fan with paint or stickers.
