Steps To Make A Ceremony With Fan Programs

Help your wedding guests keep cool at your outdoor or summer wedding.

Like theater programs, wedding programs give your guests a guide to your wedding's order of service and key players. They are particularly useful for weddings with more than 25 guests at which not everyone knows you or your new spouse. Because wedding programs are not mandatory pieces of stationery, their presence at weddings is all the sweeter. Additionally, they give everyone an opportunity to follow along, ensuring that no one feels left out. Though many programs are a simple one-sided panel, creating a program in the form of a multi-paneled fan helps guests stay cool at summer weddings.

Instructions

1. Divide your wedding program information into four or five sections. The first, also the cover of the fan, should have your name, your fiance's name, the date and the location of the wedding. The second contains the names of the bridal party, including both sets of parents. (This section may take up two panels, depending on the size of your party.) The third should have the ceremony information, including the name of the officiant and the order of ceremony. Add any acknowledgements and reception information on the final panel.

2. Type and print the information from each section onto its own piece of card stock.

3. Create a template to be used for each of the fan's panels and cut out the shape.

4. Position the template on top of each of the wedding program's sheets of card stock and cut out the fan panels. Ensure that the writing is positioned within the lines before cutting.

5. Stack each of the panels on top of one another in order. Using the hole punch, punch a hole through all the layers near the bottom of the fan.

6. String a ribbon through the hole and tie it in a bow for a stylish finish to your fan programs.
