Host a fashion show at your daughter's Bratz party.
Bratz is a line of fashion dolls that many young girls adore. If you have a daughter who loves these dolls, create a Bratz-theme birthday party for her. You can incorporate the popular dolls into the invitations, decorations and activities to create a memorable party for your daughter and her friends. Play Bratz-theme party games and award Bratz prizes to the game winners.
Invitations
Use Bratz-theme invitations or make your own using card stock. Print several pictures of Bratz dolls and glue them to the invitation. Write "Join us for some funky fashion fun at ______'s Bratz birthday party" on the front of the invitation. Use fashion stickers such as high heels, lipstick and purses all over the invitation. For added decoration, attach miniature toy Bratz dolls to the party invitation. Miniature Bratz dolls are available online (see Resources) and at some party supply stores. Mail the invitations in padded envelopes or hand-deliver them.
Decorations
Decorate the party area with Bratz-theme tableware and pink, purple and silver decorations. Make a large balloon bouquet and tie it to a Bratz doll to use as a centerpiece. Hang glittery pink, purple and silver balloons and streamers all over the party area. Use large posters of Bratz dolls to hang on the walls and from the ceiling. Make a curtain of streamer ribbons and glue glitter stars to the streamers. If you want to make your own stars, cut star shapes out of white poster board. Paint the stars with glue and sprinkle glitter on them. You can use these stars to decorate the party area.
Activities
As guests arrive, give each a Bratz mini-makeover by having an adult or older teen do their hair and makeup. Give each girl some lip gloss, blush, eye shadow, body glitter and hair glitter. The girls can also make their own body glitter using clear aloe vera gel and fine polyester glitter. Have them mix the gel and glitter in a cosmetic jar. The girls can take the body glitter home as a memento.
Fashion Contest
After the girls have their mini-makeover, let them participate in a Bratz fashion show. Place a large box of high heels, feather boas, hats, sunglasses, costume jewelry, dresses and any clothes that sparkle. Create a runway using butcher paper and have each girl model her look. Award prizes for the best outfit, funniest outfit, best fashion walk, biggest bling and best Bratz doll look-alike.
