Tweety Bird Baby Shower Celebration Ideas

Have a fun Tweety Bird shower with themed colors and foods.

The sweet, innocent, baby-faced Tweety Bird Looney Tunes character makes for a fun and simple baby shower theme that has become increasingly popular. Whether you are holding the shower in a home or in a large venue, it's easy to decorate using the bright colors associated with this character and the widely available Looney Tunes cartoon character products, especially if you apply your ingenuity.

Color Scheme

If you're going to use Tweety Bird children's birthday party supplies for the shower, base the color scheme on the available product line. Otherwise, use Tweety's bright yellow feathers and baby blue eyes as the basis of the party color scheme. White accents will look nice with this color scheme as well. For example, you could lay the party table with a baby blue tablecloth and white plates and napkins and attach a yellow and blue helium balloon to the back of each guest's chair.

Plush Toys

Introduce some plush Tweety and Sylvester toys to serve as party decorations. For example, you could purchase an inexpensive metal Tweety-style bird cage from the flea market or a decorative cage from a party supplies seller. Place a small plush Tweety inside and set the cage on the gift table as a decorative focal point. Use a plush Sylvester to create a themed decoration for the food table. Get a yellow feather boa from the dollar or party store and detach some feathers to stick on Sylvester's face and lay around him as evidence of his "guilt." Put up a sign that says "Don't Feed the Puddy-Tat!" or "Bad Puddy-Tat!" The guest of honor can keep the toys as a baby gift.

Food

A baby shower food menu of snacks and treats is easy to adapt to a Tweety Bird theme. In addition to the fruit and veggie trays, cheese assortment and sandwiches, have a few themed foods. Seed cookies of any kind will work, from sesame seed to poppy seed to pumpkin seed. You can also set out some dishes of seeds and dried berries for guests to snack on. Egg snacks would work with the theme as well, such as deviled eggs or egg salad sandwiches. Whip up some simple birds' nest clusters for the kids who attend using chow mein noodles, melted chocolate chips and candies to represent the eggs. For a shower dessert that will impress the adults in attendance, top cupcakes with toasted coconut to resemble a bird's nest, with candies tucked on top again for the birds' eggs. Serve guests lemonade to go with the main party theme color, prepared in attractive glass pitchers.
