South Haven is located near the Clearwater Chain of Lakes.
Located about 50 miles from Minneapolis-St. Paul, South Haven is a small town within Minnesota's Clearwater Chain of Lakes area. The region is home to nearly two dozen lakes, and draws residents from the Twin Cities and other areas who come to fish, boat, swim and take a break from city life. South Haven has number of RV parks, many of which offer seasonal rates so guests can use their RVs as weekend summer homes.
Timberwoods Resort
Located near Clearwater Channel Point, the Timberwoods Resort has 65 RV sites on a 25-acre lakefront property. The vacation resort features RV sites with full hookups that include water, sewer and electrical power with 30- and 50-amps, along with cable TV and Wi-Fi connections. The resort is designed as an extended-stay community where guests typically rent an RV site for at least one season. It sits on the shores of Lake Augusta, and features a boat ramp, nature trails and a swimming beach with sandy shorelines. Other amenities include fire pits, a play area, volleyball and basketball courts, a bait shop and fish cleaning facilities, and an on-site laundry area. Pets are welcome.

Clearwater Forest Resort Community
Located an hour from the Twin Cities, the Clearwater Forest Resort Community features 89 seasonal and extended stay RV campsites on the northwestern shore of Clearwater Lake. Each site has full water, sewer and electrical hookups, as well as cable TV and Wi-Fi. The park features lake access via a boat launch and a private marina with 114 dock rental slips. The lake is home to several types of game fish, including walleye, small-mouth bass, crappie, perch and sunfish. The property has an on-site bait house and fish cleaning shack. It is convenient to several activities in South Haven, including an 18-hole golf course, ski trails, restaurants and cafes, and a flea market. Other park amenities include an outdoor heated pool, playground, recreation areas and laundry facilities. Pets are welcome.

St. Cloud/Clearwater RV Park
Located about 10 miles northeast of South Haven, the St. Cloud/Clearwater RV Park is a family-oriented campground that offers a variety of on-site amenities and recreational activities. It has 96 RV campsites that have full hookups and a small patio with a picnic table and fire ring. It features two heated swimming pools, a mini-golf area, basketball and volleyball courts, shuffleboard tournaments, a playground and game room, free bike rentals and wooded nature trails. The park also organizes social activities, such as potluck dinners and square dances, at a central pavilion. Guests have access to a small grocery and souvenir store, a dump station, laundry facilities and modem Internet services. Pets are welcome.
