Handmade Fan Bracelet Instructions

Your beaded fan bracelet can be as simple or as complex as you wish.

Making your own beaded fan jewelry can show your support for a particular group or establishment while also displaying your creativity. The style and size of your bracelet is all up to you, but make the bracelet carefully. A poorly made bracelet will make you look like less of a fan and can even reflect poorly on the group you support. With a little beading experience, making a bracelet to advertise your fandom can be a simple process that you can master in no time.

Instructions

1. Purchase the beads and wire for your bracelet. Purchase beads with the logo of the group you support or make some beads of your own.

2. Measure the circumference of your wrist. Add 1 inch to that measurement. Cut a length of wire at this length.

3. Lay out your beads in the order you prefer. When you get ready to add the beads, pick them up and thread them on the wire in this same order.

4. Bend the wire into a circle that will fit comfortably around your wrist. Place the needle-nose pliers 3/4 inch away from the left end of the wire. (Do not grip the wire with the pliers.) Bend the end of the wire down over the needle-nose pliers.

5. Twist the loose end of the wire under the needle-nose pliers, around the main part of the wire in a tight coil until you run out of excess wire. Pull the needle-nose pliers out of the wire loop, leaving a circular loop atop the coil.

6. Thread the beads onto the uncoiled side of the wire in the order you desire. The hook and coil on the other side will prevent the beads from falling off of the other end of the wire.

7. Grasp the right end of the wire with the needle-nose pliers. Twist the very end of the wire into a loop with a small opening. Place the bracelet around your wrist and hook the open loop around the closed loop.
