Steps To Make Cupid'S Arrow Craft

These arrows are sure to delight their recipients.

Send a cupid's arrows to someone you care about this Valentine's day. With a pencil as the rod, these arrows make a perfect valentine gift for classmates. These whimsical arrows are so easy to make and fun to use, you should probably make a few extra to keep for yourself. If you are hosting a Valentine's Day party, have extra supplies on hand, so children can create additional arrows themselves.

Instructions

1. Push the pointy tip of the toothpick into the center of the pencil's eraser to create a hole. Remove the toothpick and set it aside.

2. Squeeze a pea-sized drop of craft glue onto a paper plate. Dip the pointed plastic tip of one of the craft feathers into the craft glue, and stick the glue-coated tip of the feather into the hole in the pencil's eraser. Repeat for the remaining two craft feathers, dipping the tip of each into the glue and sticking the glue-coated tips into the hole in the pencil's eraser.

3. Cut a 2-inch-wide heart shape out of the red card stock.

4. Squeeze a line of craft glue down the back center of the heart and along the top of the heart's arches.

5. Press the glue-coated heart's arches against the feathers, and press the glue-coated back of the heart against the top of the pencil.

6. Lay the pencil with the heart facing down until the glue dries.
