Making Tall Eco-friendly Table decorations Having A Bouquet Holder

Use twigs to make tall green centerpieces.

Bouquet holders are plastic tools that surround a piece of floral foam used to make assorted floral creations. They feature a plastic handle for holding the bouquet but can also work as centerpiece options, so long as they are held in a vase or other applicable holder. Use them to make tall green centerpieces, such as those made of ornamental grasses.

Ornamental Grass

Thick, bushy centerpieces can be made utilizing different species of ornamental grasses. Larger bouquet holders should be used, as the grass can become top heavy. One or multiple types of grasses can be used, such as pink crystal ruby grass -- which features small, bright pink flowers in clusters at the tips of the grasses -- moor grass -- a thinner, bright green grass -- and feather reed grass -- which features a "wheat-like" look. Ornamental grasses can work as versatile centerpieces, including use at beach- and fall-themed events.

Twigs

Tall, thin twigs can be painted assorted shades of green as more unusual centerpiece options. Green colors can include olive green, muted green, moss green, neon green and other bright green colors. Green glitter glue can be used alone or over paint on twigs. Other twigs may be wrapped in green scrap fabric, including solid green and patterned green fabrics, as well as those that feature assorted designs. Fabrics may also be covered in glitter glue if desired, as can green construction paper or old green wallpaper that is wrapped around the twigs.

Flowers

Tall varieties of green flowers may be used to make assorted centerpieces in bouquet holders, such as tall green milkweed. Other green flower varieties, both real and fake, may be used to make tall centerpieces if the stems are left untrimmed, such as lime green silk carnations. Silk and paper flowers with tall stems may also be painted green and used in centerpieces.

Masks

Masks on sticks, such as those often featured in Mardi Gras parades, can be arranged in bouquet holders for Halloween parties, Mardi Gras celebrations or as unique centerpiece options for any special event. Green fabric, paper and plastic masks can be used, including those that feature green sequins, beads or glitter. Plain white masks can be painted or colored in green shades with glitter, sequin or bead embellishments added as well. Green feathers are another embellishment option.
