Make a pendulum dreamcatcher to allow good dreams and energy flow.
The center of a dreamcatcher resembles a spider's web with a hole in the center. The web catches bad dreams, which melt in the sunlight as good dreams are allowed to pass through and travel down through items suspended from the center. Make a pendulum dreamcatcher by adding a pendulum to the center of a dreamcatcher. A pendulum is an item hung from a fixed point so it is free to swing by the force of gravity. Before making a dreamcatcher, clear your thoughts and be at peace, so as not to transfer negative energy into the dreamcatcher.
Instructions
1. Get a round craft ring made of foam, wood or metal. Alternatively, use a coat hanger and bend it into a circle shape.
2. Wrap the circle with a strip of leather, suede or felt. If your circle is made from twigs, this step is not necessary.
3. Tie a knot loop at the top of the circle using a long piece of strong, thin string. This is for hanging the dreamcatcher once it is finished
4. Make a hanging loop by draping the string down into the circle and wrapping it around the circle. Continue to loop the string around the circle, making the loops even about 1 to 2 inches apart. Snugly wrap the string around the circle, but not so tight that it distorts the shape of the loop.
5. Choose an item for the pendulum such as a crystal or piece of stone. A pendulum is simply a weighted object suspended from a string.
6. Hang the pendulum just below the top center where the hanging loop is so it hangs over the center of the web. Alternatively, hang the pendulum from the bottom center of the circle so it hangs below the dreamcatcher.
7. Add embellishments as desired, such as feathers and beads.
