You don't need a float to participate in a parade.
Parades are a fun and festive sight during major holidays and celebrations. Ranging from the lavish floats of Mardi Gras to the charm of a children's wagon procession, parades are entertaining for participants and spectators alike. If you'd like to participate in your next holiday parade, consider decorating your vehicle -- without ruining your paint job -- and join the fun.
Instructions
1. Use masking tape to hang signs and decorations from the windows. Masking tape won't harm the glass and is easy to peel off when the parade is over. However, it might not be sturdy enough to tape objects to the car's exterior.
2. Attach signs and decorations directly to the car's exterior using magnetic tape. Peel off the adhesive backing and stick the tape to your sign, then stick the magnet side of the tape to the side of the car. The magnetic tape is sturdier than masking tape and will not damage the paint.
3. Use wire twist-ties to secure garlands and streamers to the front grill and bumpers. Cover the running boards and sides of the vehicle with long metallic fringe by wiring the ends of the fringe underneath the car. Ensure that all objects do not obstruct the wheels or engine in any way.
4. Draw on the windows with window markers or liquid chalk. These implements are specifically designed for use on car windows and won't harm the glass. Avoid writing on the body of the car and leave enough windshield space for the driver to see clearly.
