Dye Colors In "Assassin'S Creed 2"

"Assassin's Creed II" is an action-adventure game that places the player in the role of an Italian assassin named Altair. The game features several different types of stores, including tailor shops. Shopping at a tailor allows you to purchase clothing upgrades or recolor your outfit with dyes. Although dye colors have no effect on gameplay, players have access to different dye colors throughout the game's different cities. Players also earn capes, which provide notoriety bonuses, after completing specific missions.

Default Color

Altair's default outfits are the Assassin White dye color and his Plain Cape. The plain cape provides no bonus to Altair's notoriety. The player can reselect and wear either default outfit options at any point in the game from any tailor in any location.

Florence

Players can buy three dye colors in Florence. Florentine Scarlet costs 550 florins, Florentine Mahogany costs 560 florins and Florentine Crimson costs 1,200 florins. Additionally, Altair receives a Medici Cape after completing the "Road Trip" mission in sequence six. The Medici Cape lowers Altair's notoriety while he is in Florence or Tuscany.

Tuscany

Shops in Tuscany sell four different dye colors. Tuscan Emerald and Tuscan Ochre both cost 500 florins. Tuscan Copper costs 245 florins, and Tuscan Ember costs 1,425 florins. Altair can wear the Medici Cape in Tuscany to lower notoriety.

Venice

Tailors in Venice sell three different dye colors. Venetian Azure costs 450 florins, Venetian Teal costs 500 florins and Venetian Wine is the most expensive dye in the game at 1,980 florins. Altair earns the Venetian Cape after passing "Play Along" in sequence 11. When Altair wears the Venetian Cape in Venice, notoriety declines.

Rome & Forli

Throughout the countryside and in the city of Rome itself, tailors offer four dye colors. Wetlands Auburn costs 500 florins, Wetlands Steele costs 380 florins, Wetlands Ebony costs 2300 florins and Wetlands Ivory costs 150 florins. Purchasing and wearing both the Wetlands Ebony and Wetlands Ivory dyes will unlock the Perfect Harmony PS3 trophy or Xbox 360 achievement. Altair can wear the Venetian Cape in Rome or Forli to lower notoriety.
