Exotic Centerpieces Help a Wedding Theme
Now that the excitement of your engagement is consuming every thought, it is time to start planning the wedding. The first thing you need to do is determine a theme and colors. Every other item associated with the wedding will revolve around these two things. You may think the reception centerpiece is the final touch, but the wrong centerpiece could hurt or help your overall theme. Early planning will help you make all the right decisions.
The centerpiece should tie together the look of your wedding and reception. If your theme is simple and low-key, choose color coordinated votive candles floating in a glass bowl of water. Bouquets of exotic flowers set for each guest at a table create a beautiful accent to complement your wedding theme.
Don't be afraid to think outside the box. If you and your new spouse are ocean-lovers, a simple and special centerpiece may include goldfish swimming in small glass bowls of water. Guests will love it. The theme should match the personalities of the bride and groom.
For a country wedding, don't be afraid to use cowboy boots or a cowboy hat for the centerpiece and include some seasonal accents. For a fall wedding, throw a quaint country wedding accented by a cowboy hat centerpiece containing pumpkins and orange, red and brown leaves.
Exotic Centerpieces Hurt a Wedding Theme
Exotic centerpieces bring something very special to your wedding. However, if the centerpiece is too small it may go unnoticed, and if it is too large, it will overwhelm guests and the surroundings.
If your wedding is a traditional theme, an exotic centerpiece may hurt the overall feel of the wedding. You want the wedding theme to flow throughout the entire service and reception. If you hold a traditional wedding service with colors like pastel pinks and lavender, try to avoid a centerpiece of red and black roses that are so high, guests cannot converse across the table.
Lanterns provide a Moroccan theme, or simply a romantic ambiance to your reception. If you use lights or lanterns as your centerpiece, think ahead and include low-wattage light bulbs. You do not want the light to be so harsh it strains the eyes of your guests.
Exotic Centerpiece Options
Exotic center pieces can include flower arrangements, live sea life, fruit slice arrangements, potted plants guests can take home, and even cameras for your guests to capture every moment.
