Create a handmade wrist corsage for a special occasion using feathers to complement your chosen flowers and other decorative accents. Wrist corsages look beautiful on and are easier to make than you might imagine. They are assembled one piece at a time and can be customized with any color or style you choose, such as using brightly-colored feathers as the base of the design.
Instructions
1. Choose feathers, flowers and embellishments from your local craft store to use on your corsage. It may help to bring your elastic corsage holder with you in order to compare sizes of the feathers and embellishments to the size of your holder.
2. Attach the feathers to your corsage first since they will more than likely be the largest item on the corsage. Use a hot glue gun to attach them one at a time to the corsage holder in any arrangement you like. If you do not have a hot glue gun, craft glue will give you a strong hold.
3. Prepare the silk flowers by pulling off the stems and removing any leaves or imperfect petals. Glue the flowers on the corsage one at a time starting with the largest first and working to the smallest if you have more than one flower. As you attach each flower, hold it down firmly on the corsage for several seconds until the glue begins to dry.
4. Continue adding any other embellishments or accents to the corsage such as beads, buttons or rhinestones.
