Floral arrangements serve as beautifying touches to your environment. They are also excellent gift ideas for a wide range of occasions. Instead of purchasing an expensive silk floral arrangement from a shop or florist, you can make your own. This allows you to use your own creativity to make one-of-a-kind ensembles.
Instructions
1. Select an assortment of silk flowers fitting a theme you like. Select a range of shapes and sizes, making sure to choose enough to accommodate the size of your floral arrangement. For example you can use 12 roses, 12 tulips and 4 sprigs of eucalyptus to create an interesting and attractive arrangement.
2. Gather all of the flowers together and make the blossoms of the silk flowers even with one another. Cut about an inch from the bottoms of the stems to make the stems even and straight.
3. Insert the bundle of silk flowers into the vase or base you have chosen. You can also use a tin gardening bucket to create an additional accent to the arrangement.
4. Rearrange the silk flowers in the base you have chosen to create an even appearance. You can arrange them in any design you like. There are several different types of floral arrangements and your own creativity allows you to take control in this crafty endeavor.
5. Cut a length of silk ribbon from the roll equal to twice the width around the top of the base you have chosen. Tie the ribbon into a simple bow around the top of the base containing the arranged florals. Choose a silk ribbon color that complements the flowers in the base.
