Epoxy Putty Instructions

Epoxy putty is used to hold together plastic, metal, stone, glass, fiberglass, tile, brick and concrete. It is a water-based epoxy that is made to eliminate the need for sanding. Wet fingers simply smooth the surface once it has been put in place. The ingredients within epoxy putty allow the product to cure hard as a rock, and it will adhere dissimilar items together such as plastic to glass or stone to metal. The putty is easy to cut so the right amount is used for each project.

Instructions

1. Clean hands thoroughly with soap and water. Dry hands prior to beginning.

2. Place the two rolls of epoxy next to one another. Cut through both rolls at the same time making sure to cut the same amount from both rolls.

3. Mix the two pieces of epoxy putty together. Tear, knead and fold the pieces until a uniform color is achieved.

4. Place the epoxy putty on the desired location. Push the two items to glue together firmly with an even pressure.

5. Smooth and/or feather any edges of the putty that are visible. Wet the tip of the index finger and pull across the exposed epoxy putty to smooth and/or feather. Re-wet the finger as needed.

6. Allow the epoxy putty to cure according to the directions on the package.

7. Wrap any unused putty in tin foil or plastic wrap. Place in a seal-able plastic bag for storage.

8. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water, then dry.
