Diy Wedding Party Table decorations Without Any Flowers

Their varied red and gold hues make pomegranates a striking centerpiece component.

Though flowers are the most common component in wedding centerpieces, there are many viable and attractive non-floral options you can assemble as an alternative. There are two paramount qualities any wedding centerpiece, regardless of its components, should have. The arrangement should fit the aesthetic of the event and reflect your personality. As long as you incorporate meaningful elements that match some element of the other decor, you are sure to create striking centerpieces no matter how unconventional their components may be.

Instructions

1. Substitute fresh fruits or vegetables for flowers in your centerpieces. Produce offers many of the same visual qualities that flowers possess, such as vivid color and unusual texture. However, fruits and vegetables are easier to sustain through the event because they do not need water to stay vibrant in an arrangement. Fill a glass bowl or broad vase with citrus fruit such as lemons, limes or clementines. Pomegranates have a deep, variegated color and look lovely if you pile them in a clear vessel. Arrange small pumpkins and gourds directly on the table to create an autumnal centerpiece.

2. Arrange a cluster of candles in the center of the table. Keep the presentation rustic by using stark trays or candlesticks to support the candles, or place the luminaries directly on the table. Arrange candles of different heights to increase the dynamism of the presentation. Alternatively, fill vases with water and float small tea light candles in each vessel.

3. Fill a clear bowl or broad vase with glass ball Christmas ornaments. Spherical ornaments come in every color imaginable, which makes them easy to coordinate with the rest of your decor. Remove the metallic caps that hold the hooks on each ornament before placing them in the vase or bowl.

4. Arrange a bouquet of long feathers just as you would arrange a bouquet of flowers. Ostrich feathers are showstopping with dramatic plumage that curls at the end. Peacock feathers are also a suitable option, especially if your color palette contains rich jewel tones. Trim the quills of feathers with large craft scissors to reduce their height, if necessary.

5. Fill various glass apothecary jars with different kinds of candy to re-create a retro candy store. Elaborate candy presentations have become standard wedding fare in the 2010s, but few brides include a luxe candy bar at every table. Select candy that matches your color palette. Include a small scoop in each candy jar and bags in which guest can carry their candy. Place the bags in a decorative tray, box or napkin holder to maintain an elegant and organized presentation.

6. Arrange five or more bottles of wine at the center of the table. This is an especially fitting option if you are holding any part of the wedding in a vineyard, or if epicurean delights played a role in the couple's meeting and courtship. Remove the corks an hour before the reception's commencement to allow the wine time to breathe. Replace the corks immediately before guests arrive.
