Rooster Focal point Table Ideas

Use a rooster figurine with leaves for a fall centerpiece.

Rooster centerpieces and chicken motifs are becoming popular in many interior designs. Depending on the style of rooster artwork, crockery and accessories you use, rooster centerpieces can blend with many popular country themes. Metal or tin rooster accessories complement country or contemporary designs while blue and white porcelain pieces recreate the French country look. Stained glass infuses the room with tradition while cartoon-like roosters can add a touch a whimsy to a fun dining room.

Rooster Statues and Figurines

A grouping of three to five rooster statues or framed artwork of roosters or hens coupled with dry leaves or straw makes an easy and simple, yet defined, centerpiece. Use an odd number of statues or figurines throughout your arrangements, which looks more natural, and arrange the statues in a manner to keep the eye flowing through the room.

Rooster Containers, Bowls and Tea Set Arrangements

For these rooster-inspired centerpieces, shopping is the easiest part. Buy rooster-printed containers, bowls, plates and tea sets to create an instant centerpiece. You may use printed canisters with your favorite roosters hand-painted onto the surface or purchase your own appliques and apply them directly to a can, tin or box. Another advantage to using containers for your centerpiece is that they provide extra storage for things like napkins, silverware and small packets like sugar, jams and other condiments.

Rooster Feathers

Rooster feathers are remarkable, offering a wide range of feather shapes, colors and sizes. Faux rooster feathers are available online and in craft stores or if you raise chickens, you can gather an abundance of feathers during molting season. You can use rooster feathers to soften the hard edges of artwork or canisters in your centerpiece. Another centerpiece option is to attach the feathers to a round piece of floral foam, held in a vase or container that complements your existing decor and arrange many feathers in the same manner you would use for arranging a bouquet. Work your way from the bottom up to the top of the floral foam to ensure a thick, robust arrangement of feathers. Use drab feathers or shorter, thicker ones to make the arrangement thick and the rooster's tail feathers or plumes for longer, elegant touches.

Rooster Candles and Holders

Candles and candleholders are perfect for creating warmth and intimacy in the dining room. If the room lacks in sufficient lighting, a glass or mirrored rooster centerpiece can help reflect and augment light throughout the room. Craft stores carry a variety of porcelain and ceramic rooster candleholders as well as formed wax rooster candles to place on trays or in small bowls filled with flame-resistant faux straw to create a small farm-like setting. Just be sure to keep the straw and other materials away from the flame to avoid a fire.
