Dusting is an important part of any commercial cleaning regime. Hotel bedrooms, offices and open plan work spaces should all be as dust free as possible. This does not just apply to surfaces at eye level and below. Higher shelves, ceiling corners and air vents all need to be kept scrupulously clean and this requires dusting equipment with telescopic handles which can be extended to reach these areas.
Telescopic Feather Dusters
Feather dusters are one of the most traditional forms of cleaning equipment in use today. They are very effective in commercial cleaning as they come in versions which can be attached to telescopic extension handles giving them a long reach. If you are using feather dusters for commercial cleaning ensure they are made from ostrich feathers. These contain natural oils which attract dust and gather it in fine feather barbs. The trapped dust is then removed by a vigorous shaking outside.
A telescopic feather duster is a convenient way to clean high shelving with with a lot of items on it. The duster has a large surface area but will fit into small spaces between objects.
Telescopic Lambswool Dusters
Lambswool dusters have a very dense dusting head which is made of fine crimped fibers and rough wool. These materials contain natural lanolin which attracts dust and then holds on to it. Equipped with a telescopic handle they are an effective way of dusting larger areas of empty shelving as well as the tops of high cabinets and other furniture.
Telescopic Microfiber Dusters
Microfiber traps dust and holds on to it. A microfiber dusting head attached to a telescopic handle is an effective way of removing dust from the area where a high wall meets a ceiling. A microfiber mop head attached to a telescopic handle is also an effective way to remove dust from hard flooring.
Telescopic Vacuum Cleaner Wands
Telescopic vacuum cleaner wands allow professional cleaners to make maximum use of all the cleaner's attachments. These can be used to remove dust and grime from high areas such as the tops of curtains and curtain poles without the need to stand on ladders or stretch.
