Bridal Adornments

Floral bouquets and ribbons are must-haves for most bridal showers.

A bridal shower is the time when you celebrate the bride's impending nuptials. During this joyous party, the bride is showered with love, attention and gifts by her family and friends. If you are planning this event, personalize it with bridal shower decorations that reflect the personality and tastes of the bride.

Centerpieces

Add color and personality to your tables with a centerpiece that matches the bridal shower theme. For a tropical party theme, pour colored sand into small fishbowls. Place shells on top of the sand. Place a votive candle in the center. If you want a girly theme, add long pink and white feathers into a long, clear vase. Tie a long satin ribbon around the vase. A group of tealight, pillar or votive candles on a mirror make another good centerpiece. For a personal touch, opt for framed photos of the couple. Enhance your centerpiece by sprinkling acrylic gems, confetti, sequins, curling ribbon and rose petals on the table.

Floral Bouquet

Floral bouquets are classic ways to add color and beauty to a party. Make an eye-catching bouquet from the bride's favorite flowers. Bouquets from flowers like tulips, roses, sunflowers, orchids, daylilies and hydrangeas are good choices. Tuck some ivy and texture-rich ferns into the bouquet to create visual interest between the colors of the flowers and the greenery. Set two small bouquets of white flowers beside the larger bouquet. The colors in the large floral bouquet will stand out against the small white bouquets. Place the bouquet in a container that matches your theme. Some options include tin pails, vintage bowls, square glass vases and wooden baskets.

Balloon Decor

Balloons are a popular way to create a festive atmosphere. For centerpieces, gather three to five helium balloons that match the bridal shower color scheme and tie them to a decorative balloon weight that matches your theme. Tie curling ribbon around the balloon bouquet. Place a large bouquet of seven to nine helium balloons at the entrance of the room and at areas that you want to draw attention to, such as the gift table. If there is a banner in the room, use fishing line to tie together five balloons into a cluster. Tape the cluster to the sides of the banner.

Party Favors

Party favors serve double duty as thank-you gifts for your guests and as table decorations. Wrap a decorative pillar candle in organza or tulle and tie a ribbon around it. Another option is to put iridescent crinkle paper inside a tulle purse. Fill the purse with candy like gourmet chocolate, almonds or mints. Or give each guest a miniature silver frame with a memorable photo of you and that guest. Tie a ribbon that matches your color scheme around the frame. For a finishing touch, write a personalized sentimental note on the gift tag.
