A tradition among many fans of NFL teams is to paint their faces for game day. Many of these fans dress in their best team gear in hopes of catching the attention of national television cameras. Arizona Cardinals fans are no exception, as fans try to paint their faces in the outline of the cardinal team-mascot . Face painting can take practice, but almost anyone can paint a simple Arizona Cardinals face. Painting supplies are available at party supply stores and fan shops.
Instructions
1. Wash and completely dry your face. It should be free of all makeup and lotion, so the paint will apply properly.
2. Use a face paint brush or your fingers to apply white face paint around the eyes in an oval shape. Paint should extend about 1 to 2 inches around the eyes and up to the eyebrows.
3. Create a mask around the painted white outline with the black face paint. The mask should extend 1 to 2 inches above and below the white paint; paint should also extend onto the cheeks from the bridge of the nose to create an unpainted triangle around the nose.
4. Extend an outline with the black paint from the corners of the triangle around and below the mouth to create a diamond shape that is not filled in with face paint.
5. Fill in the diamond-shaped space with yellow face paint. This will create the image of a beak.
6. Using the red face paint, cover the rest of the face, so that all skin is painted. Pull hair away from the face to avoid paint streaking near the hairline.
