Steps To Make A Chicken Suit

A chicken suit can be a hilarious way to dress yourself for an upcoming costume party or Halloween celebration. While it may seem a difficult task, making a chicken suit is actually relatively easy and can be done with a little creativity, and a trip to your local costume and crafts stores.

Instructions

1. Take your bag of white feathers and begin gluing them to your white leotard, about a centimeter apart. This is the most tedious part of the process, but you want to ensure that every inch of your leotard is covered. If you are a good sewer, you can opt to sew the feathers for more security, but this will add even more time to the process.

2. Begin gluing feathers to your white pants as well, the same way you glued them to your leotard.

3. Paint the beak of your white baseball cap with orange fabric paint and allow it to dry for about an hour. Then begin gluing white feathers to the rest of your cap.

4. Measure out a piece of orange foam that will cover and extend beyond your feet and toes, this will be the cover for your chicken feet.

5. Trace the shape of chicken feet in your foam. You'll want to trace it so it is a bit larger than your foot, and instead of round toes, you'll want to cut triangular-shaped toes to look like chicken claws.

6. Cut out a hole at the heel of your chicken foot cutout, to slip your feet through. Crafts foam is relatively stretchy, so cut the hole small and then extend it to a larger size as needed.

7. Once all of the glue has dried on your clothing, throw on your leotard, pants and cap, and slip your foam feet over your regular shoes, and you now have a hilarious costume to impress friends and family.
