Princess Party Crafts

Invite guests to wear their best princess dress to your party.

Create make-believe props to help transform girls into princesses at your party. At the beginning of the party, let them design items they can wear. Follow with snacks served in teacups and dainty plates. Invite guests to your party with an invitation designed like a royal decree. You can even roll the party details into a scroll tied with a pink ribbon.

Princess Wands

Princess party guests can make their own magic wands. Provide each guest with a 12-inch long thin dowel, two stars cut from craft foam, and ribbon. Ask them to set one star on the table and then place the dowel on top in the center. Cover the star with tacky glue. They can place strips of ribbon on the glue and then cover with the second star. After the glue dries, they can finish embellishing the wand with glitter glue, plastic jewels and pieces of feather boa. The dowel can be wrapped with more ribbon or colored with markers.

Princess Jewelry

Make edible princess jewelry with a variety of sweets. String Lifesavers and Fruit Loops onto red string licorice. Use Fruit Roll-Ups to cut out colorful shapes to use as charms on the necklace or bracelet. Poke a hole in the top of the Fruit Roll-Up shape with a skewer. A large pendant can be made with sugar cookie dough. Poke a hole in the top before baking. Sting half the necklace, add the pendant and then finish stringing with small sweets.

Princess Tiaras

Tiaras can be made with plastic headbands and pipe cleaners. Purchase sparkly pipe cleaners, neon or bumpy chenille stems. The party guests design their tiaras by using a pipe cleaner to make three even loops. Attach each loop to the headband by wrapping it tightly around. Use a second pipe cleaner to make two loops on top of the first three. A final pipe cleaner is used to make one loop on top of the two. The result is a pyramid shape on the headband. Finish the tiara by adding jewels or fake flowers.

Alternately, use pre-cut fun foam tiaras as a base. Add glitter glue and plastic gems to make a custom princess tiara.

Princess Treasure Boxes

Let the little princesses create treasure boxes. Provide each guest with an inexpensive papier mache or wooden box, available at a craft store. Set out plastic jewels, stickers and beads for the girls to decorate their boxes. When they are done, place a small novelty candy or toy inside.
