Weddings can be expensive. In fact, your wedding, if not planned well, can clean out your bank account in no time. If there are wedding accessories you can create yourself, you can save a lot of money. Plus, you will add that personal touch to the special day. One of the wedding accessories that is sometimes not planned ahead for are wedding favors. These small tokens are a thank you to your guests for attending your celebration. This is one wedding accessory that can be created way ahead of the wedding date.
Instructions
1. Hold a cello bag (see resources) open and pour in about a quarter cup of coffee beans.
2. Push the biscotti (hard cookie) down into the beans to anchor it. Pour additional beans in around the biscotti, keeping the majority of the cookie visible.
3. Write a message on your computer, such as your names and wedding date. Print as many messages as can fit on a page of cardstock. Cut them into strips and punch a hole in the corner.
4. Cut a length of quarter inch satin ribbon about 6 inches long. Run the ribbon through the punched hole of the card stock message. Tie the ribbon around the top of the cello bag and make a bow.
5. Place a favor at each reception place setting or in a basket to be handed out. The coffee beans, at the bottom of the bag, will allow the bag to sit up with the biscotti vertical, in the center.
