How You Can Thin Aero Gloss Fresh paint

Aero Gloss thinner
is designed for use with Aero Gloss paint.

Aero Gloss paint is used for model aircraft to color the thin tissue commonly applied to the balsa aircraft bodies. The purpose of the paint is not only to color the aircraft, but to strengthen the covering as well, reducing tears in the material that can ruin the appearance of the planes. When using Aero Gloss paints, you can sometimes find yourself in need of thinning the mixture for smooth application. This is done with a specially formulated Aero Gloss thinner. Mixed in the proper ratios, it thins the paint sufficiently for use as a primer or even for airbrushing, allowing you to use the Aero Gloss paint where needed to create the best finish on your model planes as possible.

Instructions

1. Put on a pair of safety goggles, a face mask and rubber gloves before thinning the paint. Ventilate the area where you are painting to disperse the paint thinner fumes.

2. Pour the amount of Aero Gloss paint you need to thin into a clear sealable jar with the capacity to hold at least twice the amount of paint being thinned.

3. Add an equal amount of Aero Gloss thinner to the jar of paint if creating a prep primer with the mixture. Add only half as much thinner as paint if creating a mix for use with an airbrush or paint sprayer.

4. Mix the thinner and paint thoroughly using a wooden stirrer for three minutes or more. Examine the paint after mixing. Look for any indications that the two components are not completely combined, such as streaking throughout the mixture. If seen, continue mixing the two until the mixture is even throughout.

5. Use the mixture immediately or cap for later use. If using later, shake the jar vigorously before using the paint to mix any separated components.
