Many men would enjoy a cigar rolling station at the wedding.
Wedding favors and wedding activities can often go hand in hand. Combine the two for an economical and enjoyable wedding reception or plan separate favors and activities for an extravagant affair. The cocktail hour during the wedding can be sparse for entertainment since the newlyweds and the bridal party are outside taking pictures. Plan for some activities to keep guests entertained during that time period.
Candy Bar
Create a candy bar at the wedding to entertain the guests and allow them to create their own wedding favors. Fill clear glass dishes, vases and bowls with a variety of candies in the color palette of your wedding. Provide plastic bags on the tables as well as ribbon in your wedding colors to seal them. Invite guests to visit the candy bar and help themselves. This will keep guests busy and make them feel as though they are kids in a candy store.
Cigars
Hire a professional cigar roller and set up a station at the wedding where he can work. Invite guests to visit the cigar roller to receive a complimentary cigar. Guests will likely enjoy watching the process of rolling the cigars even if they are not cigar smokers. Those who are will enjoy the added treat of receiving a hand rolled cigar. Print labels with the bride's and groom's initials as well as their wedding date on bags to store the cigars.
Photo Booth
Designate an area or room at the reception for a homemade photo booth. Hire a student photographer to staff the booth as well as a production assistant to upload and print the pictures. Stock the room with a variety of costume items, such as feather boas, sunglasses, wigs and masks. Make sure a laptop, a photo printer and a cable to connect the camera to the computer are in the room as well. Invite guests to visit the photo booth to take silly and humorous pictures together. The production assistant can print and frame the photos for each person who takes a picture, which will double as a wedding favor.
Caricatures
Hire an artist to draw caricatures as a wedding favor for the guests. Set up a work station for the artist and invite guests to sit and have their photos drawn. This will provide hours of entertainment for the guests as well as personalized wedding favors to take home with them. The bride and the groom can even pose with guests and have group caricatures drawn.
