Decorate your wedding with white and gold for an elegant look.
Choosing the decorations for your wedding is easier once you have decided on a color scheme, theme, style and level of formality for your wedding. A gold and white wedding can work for a variety of themes, including a Roman, winter, snowflake or angel theme. Decorate for your wedding with items that complement your theme, style and the mood you want to create.
Instructions
1. String twinkling white lights around the room, tables, doorways and windows--or in the branches of trees for an outdoor wedding. Soft lighting generally creates a romantic ambiance, setting the stage for your wedding. Hang white paper lanterns from the ceiling or from a wire using different sizes and shapes.
2. Cover your tables and chairs with crisp white linens. Add gold runners, overlays or place settings and tie gold chiffon, silk or organza bows around the chairs.
3. Hang swags of silk, organza, chiffon or velvet in white and gold around the room, behind the head table and around any columns or posts. Gather the fabric with complementary ribbon bows. Use gold against white fabric and white against gold fabric.
4. Set the tables with white china featuring an inlaid gold design, gold cutlery and gold-rimmed glassware. Choose centerpieces that complement your theme. Fill gold vases with white roses, orchids, carnations or other flowers. Place white candles on gold candelabras. Fill a vase with huge white feathers and gold confetti underneath. Wrap gold ribbon around the base of white candles.
5. Place white Grecian columns around the room and dance floor. Top them off with large gold urns or vases holding green plants. Wrap green grapevines, ivy or twinkling white lights around the columns.
