Iron Bolts are the third-weakest bolts in "RuneScape."
In "RuneScape," a dedicated ranger will eventually want to use an Iron Crossbow to fight enemies from a long distance. Using the Iron Crossbow requires Iron Bolts. As of April 2011, Iron Bolts cost 38 gold pieces each. This can become costly. So instead of buying Iron Bolts from the Grand Exchange or from other players, try fletching your own.
Instructions
1. Go to the "RuneScape" website and log into your account. Pay the membership fee for only one month. The membership fee is $5.95 monthly, as of April 24, 2011. Pay the fee with PayPal, credit card or game cards. Fletching is a skill for members only.
2. Fletch Bronze (.5 experience points) and Blurite Bolts (1 experience point) in order to get your fletching level to 39. Get more experience points faster by fletching other things, such as darts, brutal arrows and crossbows.
3. Get your smithing level to 18 with Bronze and Iron Bars. Save all the Iron Bars in your bank and sell the Bronze Bars at the Grand Exchange. Smith an Iron Bar into 10 unfinished bolts. Smith 50 Iron Bars to make 500 Iron Bolts.
4. Kill chickens and collect their feathers. Each chicken drops five to 15 feathers. Players can also buy feathers from fishing shops in Port Sarim or Catherby. Add feathers to the unfinished bolts, creating Iron Bolts ready for use.
