How You Can Incorporate Blue Right Into A Wedding

Blue will help guests and wedding party members feel calm.

Many brides and grooms like to include blue decorations at their weddings because blue traditionally symbolizes loyalty and faithfulness. Some brides like to wear blue items during their weddings because it is part of a Victorian wedding tradition. Blue items create a tranquil atmosphere and can balance out intense colors like red or orange. Wedding planners, brides or grooms may want to include blue in a wedding color scheme to create a peaceful and serene wedding environment.

Instructions

1. Dress the bride in blue accessories. Give her a blue garter to wear and weave blue flowers into her hair. Give the bride blue shoes to wear on her wedding day if she wants to add extra color to her wedding outfit.

2. Use blue stationery. Send out wedding invitations with blue backgrounds or text. Mail thank you cards for gifts once the wedding is over. Ask guests to sign a blue memory book at the wedding or reception.

3. Plan a blue reception. Give wedding guests blue menus if they can choose to eat different meals at the reception. Seat the guests at tables with blue tablecloths and blue flower centerpieces. Invite the guests to eat a wedding cake with blue icing, flowers or decorations on it.

4. Dress the wedding party in blue. Purchase blue ties and blue vests for the groom, best man and groomsmen in the wedding party. Ask them to place blue flowers in their tuxedo pockets at a formal wedding. Buy blue bridesmaid's dresses for the bride's assistants. Give the members of the wedding party blue gift baskets to thank them after the wedding is over.

5. Decorate the wedding venue with blue. Place blue flowers beside each row of chairs. Cover the wedding arch with blue flowers, ribbons or other decorations. Lay a blue carpet down where members of the wedding party will walk. Ask a flower girl to distribute blue flowers over the carpet during the wedding ceremony.
